Behind The Scenes At The Museum Quotes.
First book by Kate Atkinson debut book Behind the Scenes. And it was also my first book by Kate Atkinson.
It was a fantastic read, and it sucked me into Kate Atkinson’s literature.
Do you know Kate Atkinson wrote this book working as a House Maid?
And she won the 1995 Whitbread Award. Her book defeated Salman Rushdie, she become the grain of some eyes, but she proved herself to everyone by winning the award again.
The year I born, Kate Atkinson won the awards. Awesome.
What This Book About?
The story is not actually about Museum. But a Family.
The narrator is a little girl, Ruby Lennox. The story spans for various generations, but the family is the same.
Technically there is no plot, it is a family history book. It is interesting, because of the characters and writing.
There is no core, and the history and past are distributed in the book with no order. Like we have memories because that is how we remember past, in distort memories. Not in a single linear path, but with different events scattered throughout the timeline. The book is about women of the Family mostly.
But it does not exclude men entirely, Kate Atkinson gave them there share of light, but Ruby gets the most representative of the book.
